Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For those of you that don't know, my Dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in 2010. Over the summer he went through several months of hormone treatment, and then completed 37 sessions of Radiotherapy. He is now on hormone therapy for the next 2 years. Since the Radiotherapy treatments Dad has had very encouraging blood test results and is feeling very healthy and well.

Being so far away from my Dad in America is really tough at the best of times and last year hearing the news of his cancer I felt totally helpless. I decided to run 3 miles every day that Dad had to go to treatment and at the same time raise money for the Cancer Centre at Poole Hospital where he was being treated.

I managed to clock up 85 miles in total and I'm very proud that we managed to raise £328 for the wonderful hospital and staff that took care of my Dad.

Thank you for your support - you helped raise money, not just in my Dad's name, but for the many people that are in treatment at Poole hospital.
