After many years going through the system for our son we received a diagnosis earlier this year. Very little support or advice has been offered by professionals before or after the process.  Autism Initiatives has been a vital source of advice and information.  I am undertaking this run to try and raise some funds for this charity to enable this support to continue for other families.

Also when my son was born he spent time in special care at The Liverpool Woman's Hospital. On the day we brought him home the Santa Dash was taking place and a sea of Santa's across the city brought tears to my eyes as it finally felt like Christmas bringing our special care baby home. Finally I'm going to be one of those Santa's 10 years on!

I've not ran for 2 years due to injury / surgery recovery I've started the 0-5k app and I'm pounding the pavement regularly in training.  I appreciate that every week someone is raising money for charity but if you could spare a few £'s it would be greatly appreciated.
