Hello, thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

Many of you will know that 5 years ago I broke both arms at the same time in a 'freak' fall.  Since then I've become fearful of falling and although I enjoy walking, there is always a fear in the back of my mind, so trekking across the Jordan desert to Petra will not be easy.  So it's time to overcome this fear!  

We will be walking anncient bedouin paths covering 100 kilometres over 6 days.  We'll be camping out and will have to 'wild wee'!

I've worked at SDH for 15 years and witnessed the effects that the Stars Appeal funds contribute to patient care across all age groups.  After all I've had my fair share of care from the hospital!

If you are a user of Salisbury District Hospital, you, your family or friends may have received treatment which you may not have realised was possible due to the funds raised for the Stars Appeal.  I'm hoping to be able to add to this.

So I hope you will help me, and in turn you will be helping our local hospital and the local community who use it.

I have to raise at least £3300 to be able to join the trek. Although the costs of the trek come from this fundraising, these are fixed costs that have been negotiated to be the lowest possible while ensuring trekkers are safe. I’ll be paying for all my drinks, tips, equipment and insurance, as well as having already paid the initial deposit personally. Every single trekker will contribute at least £1650 to the Stars Appeal. Any money I raise over the £3300 target will also go straight to the Stars Appeal.
