Helen and Douglas House give amazing care to terminally ill children and their families. 

My daughters friend Izzy spent her last few weeks there before she died. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. They supported Izzy’s family for years after her journey to heaven and were invaluable. As a family we’ve been fundraising for them ever since. 

Light up Chesterton is a fun way for our whole village to get involved and raise some much needed money. Anything you can spare will help.

Your fundraising will be helping families like Romans. In March 2019, when he was only a few days old, twin Roman was given just weeks to live. Helen & Douglas House cared for Roman at their hospice for a few weeks until he was able to go home with his family for the first time. Their community nurses visited regularly and the family were able to spend Christmas together at home. In January 2020 Roman died peacefully at home surrounded by his family, which is when their bereavement support team provided his family with a lifeline of support. Your donation enables Helen & Douglas House to continue to support the children and families who need them this Christmas.
