Hi everyone!

After graduating from Liverpool in 2013 (when running a 5k would have seemed impossible!) I started getting fit and took on my first ever Tough Mudder that year. Since then I have regularly competed in Obstacle Course Races (OCR) ranging from 5k to 26 miles. OCRs are running races which include challenges in the form of built up/technical obstacles, mud and difficult terrain. Last year I started racing in competitive waves and came 4th lady in the UK OCR Championships.

In October this year I will be competing in the OCR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS in the Blue Mountains in Canada. I will be racing in the Pro division against the very best elite OCR athletes from across the world. Needless to say this will be an immense challenge. I have been training all year for this event and It is likely to be the biggest physical challenge I've faced so far.

In doing this event I am pleased to raise money Vetlife, a charity which provides help and support to people effected by mental health within the veterinary profession. This charity has already, and will very likely to in the future, provide help and support to people close to me, colleagues, acquaintances and complete strangers alike. 

I hope in reading this you have been inspired to donate just a few pounds to a wonderful charity. Even if you are not directly related to the veterinary profession, you donation will be very much appreciated and may even help someone you know.
