Save Tanzania Africa is a children oriented NGO which was founded in 2011 by a group of young and caring minds in Usa-River, Arusha, Tanzania. The aim of the organization is to alleviate children from poverty, poor health, illiteracy and general low social economic situations. The organization believes that investing in these children’s education and well-being is tantamount to securing a better future for the societies involved.

The Challenge
Children in sub-Saharan African countries have restricted access to basic social services which contribute to their development and effective socialization to become functional members of their corresponding societies. In Tanzania, the challenge is even more pronounced in the rural areas where more than 50% of
Tanzanian children in these areas live below poverty line. According to UNESCO, Tanzania has 168,478 or 3.98 per 1000 children out of school in 2008. Despite the efforts of government and its agencies, we find that, children still lack these basic needs, hence
the need to utilize a holistic approach where everyone is a major stakeholder in ensuring a bright future of
these children. However, Save Tanzania Africa is an organization founded in response to this condition with
the aim to contribute its quota through its children-oriented activities.

Project Goals
 Improve the living standard of children in rural areas in Sub-Saharan African countries starting with
Tanzania
 Improving access to quality education – ensuring more than 70% of the children of the target
population obtain access to good education by 2022
 Uplift the socioeconomic condition of these children
 Improve security situation of the children
Target Group

The beneficiaries of the project are community in general. These target groups are children who abandoned
by their families, who are living in harsh environments, orphans, children from extremely poor families and
children living with HIV/AIDS.


Our approach
In the bid to salvage the situation of the children, we plan to construct a school where our activities along
with other children related activities will be carried out:
 Provide adequate feeding and security for the housed children
