Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Pure Insight is a charity that has been established since 2013 as a direct response to issues highlighted by young people leaving care in Stockport. Pure Innovations is the company acting as a business angel for Insight.

This charity sets out to support a vulnerable group of young people through a difficult transition period from leaving care to adult independence.

Success of this overall charity depends on the understanding of young care leaver needs and the engagement of local community to identify local solutions. By directly involving young people in the design and delivery of our projects we can link them into a variety of different support networks allowing them to access the help and advice they need to solve problems, overcome barriers, improve health and wellbeing, gain confidence and move forward with their lives.

The charity currently supports numerous projects delivering continual benefits to our young people within their journey towards independence, two of which are detailed below.

We are raising money to help with one particular project (Cafe Zest) which runs weekly. The project runs weekly in the evening from a café venue in central Stockport and is accessible exclusively for care leavers. Many people that attend the project have or are facing crisis situations associated with chronic loneliness and isolation, poverty, homelessness and unemployment.

The project regularly supports 15-20 young people. Practically it offers safety, nutrition via a hot meal, access to information and advice and help with skill development. However, more importantly it connects those who would otherwise be isolated, allowing them peer and local community support. Together, this prevents crisis and improves lives.

We have also requested matched funding from Barclays Bank which will make your very kind donations stretch a little further.

It just so happens that we are doing the trek during Care Leavers week :)

Thanks for sponsoring us, it means the world.

With Love xxxx
