I wanted to set up this JustGiving page as I will be facing my biggest challenge (and fear!) yet by jumping out of a plane to raise money for the Down's Syndrome Association.

It’s such a dream and honour being an ambassador for such an amazing charity! I was absolutely blown away when I went to visit the Langdon Down Centre, where the charity is based. I’m in awe of the work that they do – from the services and projects that they provide through to their campaigning. The work that they do ranges from providing stable occupations for the young adults, to providing speech & language therapy, making each day, another day moving towards providing an equal life for those with Down’s Syndrome.

So, there’s a backstory as to why I hold the Down’s Syndrome Association close to my heart. A lot of you may or may not know that my uncle, Lenos, was born with Down’s Syndrome and up until I was 13 years old, he was a huge part of my life, every single day. Unfortunately, my uncle Lenos sadly passed away when he was just 21 years old. 

I know working with a charity representing those with Down’s Syndrome will make him proud! And of course, facing a fear of mine and jumping out of a plane to raise money for such an amazing cause, will have him giggling at me shaking in my boots!
