In memory of Helen Norton

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

I made it! Along with 16 other hardy folk. The weather was not as bad as predicted and although there was a bit of a swell and a current that spread us along the Dunoon waterfront, everyone made it across which was a massive achievement. I came in second in around 45 minutes and was glad I didn't have to spend another second in the chilly water.

Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored me and who came along to support on the day.

So, I'm swimming across the River Clyde. This is a 2 mile open tidal water swim, in SCOTLAND! I've completed a practice swim and my face was so cold afterwards I couldn't speak properly.......

I'm raising money for Leukaemia Research because my Granma fought leukaemia for five years before she died in 1991, when I was 17.

She was a great help to my Mum when my brother and I were young and I realise it is long overdue that I do something to help the cause that helped her when she was so ill.
