World AIDS Day Red Run 2018 · 1 December 2018 ·

Taking place on Saturday the 1st of December 2018 the 30th World AIDS Day anniversary the World AIDS Day Red Run is a 10K or 5K charity run through leafy Victoria Park, East London to support 30 essential HIV charities across the UK!

Story

Cally and I will be running the World AIDS Day Red Run on Saturday 1st December.  Cally wasn't very happy doing the RBC Race for Kids, so how I talked her into doing another 5k I don't know.

It is though for a cause that is very dear to my heart - The Terrence Higgins Trust.  Some of you know that my brother died 25 years ago, one of the first people to get HIV and before the advances in drugs we have today.  It is terrible when any loved one dies, but when they are young (he was 42) and it is preventable, it seems even more tragic.

I am running so that nobody else has to lose a loved one to AIDS and go through what my family did.  I was pregnant with my daughter at the time and it still saddens me that she never met her Uncle Robert.
