12 hours after giving birth to my 6 week premature baby, being told she needed an emergency operation was the last thing I expected.

Liana was going to be transferred to the Trevor Mann neonatal unit for life saving surgery. A place I had never even heard of but what an amazing unit and care team to support the very ill babies.
My daughter went through 5 hours of surgery at just 2 days old, tubes everywhere monitors beeping constantly, to this day that sound still makes my heart drop. Of course my husband and I were very worried but the staff were amazing and made sure the surgeon came and saw us. I knew my daughter was in safe hands and they took great care of her.
I spent most of the day sat by her side i was able to watch the nurses caring for all the other poorly babies some as small as a bag of sugar.
Liana spent 17 days in Trevor Mann before finishing her recovery off at the Royal Alexander Children's Hospital.
We will always be forever grateful for everyone who cared for our daughter, who is now a bubbly 3 year old.
Organising the charity clothes swap is a small way of repaying Trevor Mann unit for saving our Liana.

We are also hoping we can share some of the funds with Ronald MacDonald house charity who housed us whilst Liana was in hospital. They took a little bit of stress off us and made our hospital stay more bearable.
