Macmillan coffee event · 30 September 2016

The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

Macmillan is a charity close to my heart. Not everyone knows but a few years ago I nearly lost my mum to cervical cancer. So it is a charity very close to my heart. When argos told us that they were supporting macmillan I whooped with joy because it meant I could actively involve my workmates with fundraising.

Anyway, I have decided to combine our coffee morning with the "Brave the shave " and make it an afternoon event so people going to the various coffee mornings, could come along to both.

My hair is now longer than shoulder length and I'm loving having it long so this really is a big deal for me. I'm scared, nervous, happy, sad and every emotion you canthink of. Luckily my mum is OK.  Many more aren't and they need your help. Thank you.

I originally said I wanted to raise 1,000. Well on paper I'm at nearly £400 and am confident of hitting £500 before Friday.  Then the rest hopefully we'll raise at the event 😄😄😄
