Joanna does the Great North Run

Every year an estimated 150,000 people in the have a stroke; that's one person every five minutes. On September 8th 2008 my dad was one of them. Despite making what seemed to be incredibly positive moves towards recovery his body couldn’t cope and his friends and family were devastated by his death a few days later on September 19th.
Two years later and we’ve all come a long way. And
on 19th
September 2010 I intend to go 13 miles further. Running the Great North
Run is
unquestionably the biggest physical challenge I have ever faced but all
you need to do is sponsor me! All money will go to The Stroke
Association, the only UK charity solely concerned with helping everyone
affected by stroke.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and I
really would appreciate any contributions towards this fundraising
effort; whether it is £1 or £10, it will all help.
