Story
From my battle with cancer I have had to learn to walk, talk and eat again. I didn't think I would see my first grandchild. I didn't think I would marry my long term partner. I didn't think I would be able to ride my horse again. But I have overcome what once seemed impossible and have been lucky enough to accomplish all the above.
To date I've had 117 hospital visits, 19 hours of surgery, 72 visits from the district nurses. I have needed speech therapists, dieticians, physiotherapist and counselling to help me regain my life after head and neck cancer.
I now feel the need to help those who gave me a chance to enjoy life again. I am trying to raise funds for Face up Cymru the charity set up to help cancer patients just like me.
I am self-funding the challenging task of walking Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa, to raise the profile and raise much needed funds to provide support and assistance to patients and their families through the long journey to recovery.
