Proud to be joining Team Sarcoma in the London Marathon *gulp*

London Marathon 2023 · 23 April 2023 ·
15 years ago my mum was diagnosed with a sarcoma, a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue.
It had taken a long time to get to that point - including an operation because the doctors thought it was something else - but because it was diagnosed, she had surgery and treatment. Thankfully, she has been cancer-free since.
2% of cancers are sarcomas and they're not that well known about.
Sarcoma UK were a fantastic (& the only) source of information about sarcomas I could find when I really wanted to understand what my mum was up against. They fund research, give support and campaign for better treatments.
I've never run a marathon before and I've only ever run one race, but I can't think of a better reason to try and run 26 miles!
I would be so grateful for your help to support them.
