I became more familiar with Galloways and the work they do through my business. I am also part of a running group in Morecambe called Lets Run Morecambe. Kevin has been an active member of the group and last year I watched him reach his goal of completing the London Marathon. I had quite a few chats on the way with Kevin on the prom when he is generally accompanied by his dog Alan. You cant help but love Alan, and dogs like Alan offer a lifeline and independence to those with visual impairment. The more that can be trained the better.

It was truly inspirational watching Kevin so when I was offered the chance to take up a place this year I could not say no.

I am definitely nervous but will work hard to make it to the end!
