Building on my achievements and fundraising in 2022 and 2023 throughout 2024 I am undertaking a number of 'uncomfortable ' running events, whilst raising awareness and much needed funds for MND.

Why, you might ask? 

My beautiful aunt was diagnosed with Bulbar Onset MND in January 2021. Progression on MND is different for everyone. For her it affected her speech and ability to swallow first. It then progressed to difficulty in breathing, movement in her legs, arms and hands. She was trapped in her failing body. Throughout everything and all she was losing she never lost her spirit and her wicked sense of humour. Always putting her girls first and making sure they were okay. My aunt sadly passed away on the 12th January 2023, two years after diagnosis. 

MND Association funded a specialist communication App and Ipad so she was able to communicate. They also provided a grant towards installing a ramp and re-landscaping her garden so she could still enjoy this. Along with information packs and support groups they were invaluable to my aunt, her daughters, and the rest of the family. 

With your help, we can raise money to help others last years of their lives be made as easy as possible, and to fund research into a cure for this disease. As we stand currently,  there is no cure.
