My wonderful friend Jo has lost her fight against brain cancer. Jo and her family are more than friends they’re family, our families have been incredibly close for many years, our children growing up together. Jo was given 6 to 18 months to live; just over 2 years later in the early hours of 17th June 2018 she lost the battle.
During her last few weeks the nurses at St Benedicts Hospice have been fabulous and the hospice itself a haven of tranquility. The dedication of the staff allowed Jo’s family to simply focus on spending time with her. There isn’t a huge amount I can do but I can ensure that others will be able to receive the same care and dedication that Jo had and that other families have the opportunity to benefit from the hospice’s facilities. X
