My April Dog Walking Challenge for Cure Parkinson's

Joanne Hartill is raising money for Cure Parkinson’s

Cure Parkinson's April Dog Walking Challenge 2026 · 1 April 2026 to 15 May 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

Our April Dog Walking Challenge encourages supporters to get outside and enjoy the spring sunshine to walk 100km with their dog throughout the month while raising awareness for our ground-breaking research into a cure for Parkinson's.

Story

In April I will be embracing the fresh air and spring sunshine to walk 100km across the month with my furry friend, Ronnie, in aid of Cure Parkinson's.

In October 2022, on his 50th Birthday (!) "my" Steve was diagnosed with Parkinson's. This was a devastating blow to all of us as a family. Despite having this degenerative disease and having to step back from his role as a paramedic, Steve continues to work for Yorkshire Ambulance Service (for as long as time allows). It goes without saying that, Molly, Daisy and myself could not be more proud of him 💙

I would like to raise funds and awareness for research into treatments that could slow, stop, or even reverse Parkinson's.

Cure Parkinson's can only continue to have this impact with support from people like you. If you are able, please give a small donation. Thank you 🙏
