So we are doing it again! Last year's hike broke us and we both swore (literally!) never again! So here we are, making plans to do it again! WHY? BECAUSE WE CAN!!
With a combined blister count of 12 and one pretty severe case of sunburn, we could be accused of being a bit mental, but in reality, we raised £320 for a great cause, and next year we want to raise more!
Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. It doesn't discriminate. It attacks our parents, our children, our husbands and wives, and our friends. For me, this is personal. Since taking part in my original hike last year I have lost two special people to cancer, one of whom was my Dad. He was diagnosed with this ugly disease and it robbed us of him within a matter of months. The support that we received from Macmillian was incredible and it was there from day one. I can't change what has already happened but I can try to raise funds so that other families can be offered that same level of support. I'll do the hard work, all you need to do is make a donation, your're just a few clicks away from contributing to something special.
So here are the details:
On the 19th October I will be taking part in a mighty hike in support of Macmillian Cancer Support with my friend Suzy. It’s a 26 mile hike along the Ullswater Way from Dalemain to Lowther Castle.
Any money raised will go directly to Macmillian Cancer Support so please remember to GiveAid and make every penny count.
So dig deep, give generously, and wish us luck!
