Hello and thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

It might seem like it was ages ago, but I can assure you that my feet are still not recovered from our 40 mile walk!  I am so very nearly at my target, and would love to exceed it.  As I am sure you can imagine, we are all being very competitive about who has got what!  Actually.....that probably is just me!

Anyway - we did it.  It was hard, and there were some tears on the way - but thankfully they were not always of pain and some were from laughing so much!

I am raising money for Northern Stage, the theatre I work for in Newcastle.  I set up and manage projects in schools and community groups - we work with all age ranges, from 0 to 100, and believe that everyone has the ability to be creative.  We are especially interested in working with groups of people who think that the theatre isn't a place for them - because ours is!

The theatre (which used to be called Newcastle Playhouse) celebrates its 40th Birthday next year and we are running a major fundraising campaign so that we can make work with more people than ever.  I'm going to walk 40 miles from Haltwhistle in Northumberland into Newcastle and Northern Stage.  Please sponsor me!!

Because I work with an amazing group of people I won't be alone - on 3rd and 4th July 2009 almost all the staff (plus family and friends) are going to walk or support the walkers as we make our way 'home'.  This crazy and wonderful plan will only work with your help, and even the smallest donation will make a difference, to me and to the theatre.
