Story
...And so the training begins as we set ourselves a gruelling challenge to trek 30 kilometres along the south west coast path of the Jurassic coast. We’ve set ourselves this tough challenge where we Believe, Achieve and hopefully Inspire others to raise vital funds and awareness for the worth while and very special charity Trekstock. This is no walk in the park, while the distance alone would make this a tough challenge, the nature of the undulating terrain will have us ascending over 1700m of ascent, greater than climbing Ben Nevis!
Trekstock gets young adults in their 20’s and 30’s moving again when cancer puts their lives on hold. Most young people take moving into their 20’s and 30’s for granted, however every year in the UK more than 12,500 young adults are told they have cancer. Trekstock delivers practical and social support programmes tailored to the needs of young adults, to give them a better chance of living well through and beyond cancer.
It’s about time we kick cancer in the butt, it’s a horrible disease that unfortunately takes no prisoners and it needs to know we will not take it lying down.
