A little bit of background.....
Some of you will already know, but for those that don’t, my Nan was diagnosed with vascular dementia in the early part of 2019. At present, she is still amazing us every single day by battling through this crippling illness, while also having to deal with living through a major global pandemic, which as we all know, sucks major ball bags, even for the toughest the most “hardened” of us. I’m in awe of how resolute she is, despite everything she is going through, still making us crack up with her hilarious witty comments, and stories from the past.
This will also be a chance for me also to personally accomplish something very rewarding, and although it will be tough, (those who remember my 10k through London stint will KNOW how tough it could be for me 😂😂) I am determined and ready for it..... well not quite ready but I’ll get there. 😂.
By doing this trek, it would make a huge contribution towards funding imperative research for the Alzheimer’s Society. A charity that are doing so much to help people like my Nan, that are fighting this horrible disease day in, day out, and for the families that are also suffering witnessing their loved ones go through this. Any donation big or small would be really appreciated to help me to achieve my target of £300. So get those sofas shaken out and those pockets ruffled 😂 and help sponsor me for this challenge 😊.
All the best,
Jodie 😊
