A message from Dougie Mac:

Lockdown has significantly impacted all of us. At Dougie Mac we are proud that we continued to provide end of life care to local people throughout the pandemic. However, as we take tentative steps towards normality we will need to lean on the kindness of the people of North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent to propel us forward and raise vital funds.We want to say thank you for all that you do; having you alongside us whilst we are caring for local people with a life-limiting illness means such a lot to them, their families as well as our staff and volunteers - thank you.

Nana Flo, you’d always go the extra mile for me so I’m going to walk a few for you ❤️

Each year, around 3,500 people and their families in North Staffordshire/Stoke-on-Trent access specialised care from the Douglas Macmillan Hospice. My family and I are so grateful for the care that my lovely Nana received at the end of her life a few years ago. 

I’ll be taking part in the ‘Step Out for Dougie Mac’ fundraising event by walking for 50 minutes on the 19th September, as well as walking 50 miles across the next 4 weeks. 

The hospice are aiming to raise £50,000 from this event. I would be so, so grateful if you could support me by donating anything that you can. I am aware that this year has financially hit some people very hard so even sharing this page would mean so much to me if you are unable to donate. 

As Vincent Van Gogh once said, ‘great things are done by a series of small things brought together’. Please, let’s all do our small thing to help this amazing hospice to continue doing great things for those that need it most.
