Story

Cancer is absolutely shite. I don't need to tell you why because pretty much everyone has been affected in some shape or form in their lives.

I am running the half marathon to see how much money I can raise to support this amazing charity. In the summer I stood out on the streets of Brighton with some colleagues holding buckets and trying to get people to give us money. It was soul destroying! People walk past and pretend you aren't giving them your best smile to get a pound off them, we are constantly being asked for money from someone, and hardly anyone carries change these days so it felt really hard getting any decent amount of money. Once we got the email from Macmillan with how much all the collectors raised and what that money was going to be used for it made it all worthwhile.

This time I really want to push myself, physically and mentally. Furthest I have run is 10k, so 21k is going to be hard. Ok, I know its not a full marathon (there is absolutely no way I am running for 4 hours) but its still a challenge for me. I've got the support of some other fellow gym goers who are running it with me, I need all the help I can get!

SO GIVE ME YOUR MONEY! Keep me going in the winter when it's wet, windy and miserable and I'm pounding the streets of Brighton while your sitting in the warm eating mince pies. Help me hit my target and save some fricken lives at the same time.

Much love
