Georges Hair Donation · 14 September 2019

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

George saw a video of a brave little girl having her head shaved to donate her hair to The Little Princess Trust in memory of her Mum in 2017, after asking lots of questions about why she was doing it he asked if he could grow his hair for the same reason.......

So here we are almost 2 and half years since his last proper hair cut (short back and sides) his hair is finally long enough to donate and make some one elses life that little bit easier with a wig!

He has been called a girl countless times in the last 2 and a half years, but is always happy to explain he is a boy doing an amazing, selfless thing for someone who doesnt have hair at the moment.

As he has autism he has really struggled when it comes to hair care, washing and brushing his long thick hair has been a constant battle for him but hs has always had the option to have it cut off before it was long enough to donate and hes always refused.

We are so proud of George and this act of kindness he decided to do at the age of 7 just proves what we already knew - our boy has the biggest, kindest heart.

We would love to be able to donate along with Georges hair the cost of making a wig which is £550. So if you can donate anything we would be very grateful!
