As some of you may know my mum was diagnosed with lung cancer at the end of 2013, my mum is my rock, my best friend and my idol, a mum I love to the moon and back and a mum who would do absolutely for her family. 

Cancer research do amazing work to help find treatments and cures for cancer, which enable many people to fight and beat cancer.

For those of you who know my mum, will know she is a tough cookie, and a proper Northern lass! So therefore I have signed up to do various half marathons, my first in Richmond in Feb, Surrey in March, Sheffield in April and Dublin in August, to help my mum to kick cancers backside! 

I will also be running various marathons with my friend Jane Chapman-Smith who sadly lost her mum to breast cancer in 2013. Jane will be my amazing training partner through the pain, cold, wet, sunny, fun, gruelling and my poor feet days. 

Any donation big or small will be very much appreciated, I know I did a race last year the GRIM and raised money for Cancer Research UK, but this is a charity that has become so very close to my heart.
