Story

Thankyou for taking the time to visit my page.

My name is Jodie Austin, and I am running a Half Marathon in honour of one of the most inspirational women I have ever met, who unfortunately lost her battle to cancer earlier this month.

Clare Wrigley was a very close friend, and a mentor to me and many other young people, through devoting her life alongside her husband Glen to the Air Training Corps.

On hearing of her passing, I realised that she spent her entire life helping others, and she inspired me to do the same! For this reason, I am running 13.1 miles for Cancer Research North West. Until two weeks ago, I had never ran a complete mile in my life, and I am currently in training to ensure that I complete this race to the best of my ability.

Thankyou so much for your support, I cannot tell you how much this cause means to me and how grateful I am,

Jodie Austin xx
