Story
In August 2021, I will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon.
Truth is my training has waned, my feet hate running even more than I do, AND the forecast is rain so no doubt my hearing aid and contact lenses are gonna fail on me before the first mile is out.
I’m tempted to pull out. But I don’t want to. I want to run to feel like I am doing something worthwhile for all my friends who I have helplessly watched go through the unspeakable pain of miscarriage.
This is why I am running for Tommy’s, a charity dedicated to researching why we lose babies during pregnancy, and even more importantly, fighting for support for those who are grieving. Tommy’s work tirelessly to provide this support throughout the UK and I want to help them help more families in the future.
The last year has been an unprecedented and incredibly challenging year for the charity sector and the impact of Covid-19 has meant many charities are now struggling to raise the vital income they need to survive. Your support this year is more important than ever so thank you so much in advance for donating whatever you can. It really will make a massive difference
1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss. This is not a silent battle and nor should it be. If you are able to donate ( my JustGiving page is below), THANK YOU!! If you can’t spare a donation that is okay 😊 thank you for reading, and I hope that this post has given some insight into what Tommy’s are about.
