Hft is here to help people with learning disabilities live life on their own terms. The practical help, support and encouragement we offer gives people a chance to find more enjoyment, comfort and satisfaction in life. Its about helping people to have the kind of life we might want for ourselves, or for our loved ones. This is what we do. And this is why I'm embarking on a crazy trek through the Sahara to support them. 

Along with a fantastic team of people supported by Hft, staff and Hft supporters, I’mis trekking six days through the Sahara Desert to raise funds and awareness for the charity. We're braving sandstorms, intense heat, freezing starry nights and the worlds' tallest sand dunes. And I would really appreciate your support!

Anyone who knows me well will know that this isn’t going to be easy for me. I’m pretty nervous, to tell you the truth. But I’m determined to do it because Hft is quite simply a charity that I feel privileged to work for.
