Story
On the 30th of July 2017 two members of the Bunzl Catering Supplies team will take part in the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 to raise money for In Kind.
100-mile route through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside.
More than 100,000 participating.
This is one of the largest charity fundraising cycle races in the world.
Founded in 1997 by HRH The Prince of Wales, In Kind Direct
distributes consumer goods donated by companies to UK charities working in the
UK and overseas. Working with not-for-profit organisations and
companies to help ensure that everyone has access to life's essentials and
that no usable product goes to waste.
In Kind distribute new, usable consumer goods, donated by
some of the UK’s best known manufacturers and retailers, to charities,
not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises working in the UK and
abroad.
Long before families and individuals go to a food bank,
many have had to give up essentials such as toothpaste, soap, sanitary
products and toilet roll. When someone can’t afford to maintain basic personal
hygiene, this can have dramatic consequences on one’s self-esteem, access to
work and place in society. In kind can change that.
Supporting In Kind Direct is a simple way to support not
just one organisation, but thousands of grassroots charities across the UK
tackling a wide range of issues, from child poverty to domestic abuse and
disability.
Bunzl made its first donation of goods to In Kind in 1998. Since then, Bunzl has donated a total of £2,074,700 in retail value of
products.

Our aim is to raise £1220. If we hit our target, Bunzl UK & Ireland
will match this amount!
Together, let’s support those less fortunate than
ourselves.
