Story
Hello everyone,Due to fires and concerns about health and safety I am announcing that I will be cycling a 1000 km route on Vancouver Island rather than from Burnaby to Calgary as originally planned. I am grateful that Linda continues to be my support driver along with our dog, Lili. Lili is not an assistance dog, but in a way she is; she will support Linda and I by barking (cheering me on!). Lili is a rescue from Iran and almost didn't make it here to BC as the plane caught fire in flight and had to turn around to get fixed…
I am excited to get on the road starting August 6 as part of fundraising for Pacific Assistance Dogs’ Society (PADS) and will post updates here when possible. Again, thank you for your support and encouragement here and elsewhere.
It costs about $35,000 to raise one service dog for someone with a
disability. This summer I'm MOVING for PADS to help make sure more
people who need life-changing assistance dogs get them. Help me reach my goal.
