On the 15th of September 2021, my brother sadly had a major heart attack, he was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, where they managed to stabilise him, on the 16th of September he was taken down to Theatre to have open heart surgery, to repair the damage to the heart caused by the heart attack, the surgery went well and he was returned to intensive care and was on a ventilator, he remained on the ventilator for 11 days , in those 11 days they tried to reduce the amount of sedation quite a few times, however every time they tried, either his heart rate would drop very low or go very high, on the 23rd of September I received a call Mum hospital, asking for my permission to go ahead and remove both his legs, I thought I would have time to think it over but they needed a decision there and then, I knew in my heart and my head , he would hate not having his legs, however I gave them permission, so on the 24th of September they took him back into theatre, I got a call later that night to say the surgery had gone well, however they were worried about his right leg and may have to go back to theatre , to remove more of the right leg, then on the 25th of September I got another call saying things were looking good to completely wake him on the following Wednesday, and could I come to to the hospital on the Wednesday morning, I agreed I’d be there, but on the Sunday morning I got another call at 8am telling me my brother had gone into cardiac arrest, I told the nurse to please go and save my brother and bring him back, at 8.40 I got another call from a doctor to tell me that they did everything they could and sadly my brother had passed away, I will never ever forgot having to get in my car, to go and tell my mum that her son had died 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔 , so I am trying to raise as much as I can to hopefully help this charity, I AM GOING TO DO A 24 HOUR CHALLENGE WHERE I EAT AND DRINK NOTHING BUT CHOCOLATE BASED DRINKS , PLEASE HELP ME TO REACH MY TARGET MANY THANKS JODY
