Bupa Great North Run 2012 · 16 September 2012 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 22nd February 2012, we lost a close friend Stuart Simon after a 3 year long battle with Leukaemia . Stuart, just 38 years young, leaves behind his beloved wife Sarah and young son Kieran.  As you can imagine this has been an incredibly emotional time for everyone, from his parents & family, to the circle of friends and the numerous people who have had the good fortune to have known and loved him.

From his warmth and generosity,  to his humour and fun loving approach to life and his incredible bravery and inner strength - Stuart was one of a kind. A great friend, husband, father and son.

In memory of Stuart, a group of us are running in the Great North Run. We have chosen to do this for Leukaemia and Lymphoma to raise funds to support their vital research and to help others affected by a blood cancer .
