Story
So I’ve decided to run Cheltenham half marathon this year for Sue Ryder I’m memory of my dad Ian Brown.
As most of you are aware dad battled cancer for some years and sadly passed back in August last year. He was being looked after by sue Ryder in his last couple of days and even with all the COVID going on they were amazingly helpful. To know he was in a place with such caring and helpful people gave us all alittle comfort in which was an awful time.
Dad loved his running and raised in excess of £50,000 through it and other things. Running kept him going mentally and made him feel healthier through his battle. So I’ve started running this year to help me mentally also .it helps clear my mind and I know dad is always there by side running with me. (But probably not struggling like me)
So if you could help me raise alittle money for this amazing charity I would be so grateful. And I’m sure so many other families going through the same situation will he also 👍🏻
Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.
