Last year on April 19th we lost our Dad after a 13 year battle with Alzheimer’s. I was just 12 years old myself when dad was first diagnosed and have seen how heartbreaking the disease can be, not just for the person themselves but for families and friends of the loved one. . 

With there still being no cure for what is one of the most cruelest of diseases I have decided to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Research UK in the hope that one day a cure will be found. Having raised money for the Alzheimer’s Society all the time dad was still with us, I feel that it’s now time to perhaps raise money for more research and support the charity into preventing other families having to go through the pain and upset.
