So, with the London Marathon understandably being postponed back until October due to the ongoing pandemic, it leaves a sizeable gap in my running diary
on April 26th.
I couldn’t envisage waking up on April 26th and not running some form of marathon and had planned to jump on the treadmill for an indoors marathon, however, my wife suggested a fundraiser for the NHS and everything she’s ever challenged me to, I seem to have taken on and completed with her by my side.
She suggested I run a marathon in our garden and raise money for the NHS in the process, we have worked it out very roughly and think it will be between 1,500 and 1,600 laps of the garden.
It will be, without a doubt, the ‘longest’ marathon I’ve ever run with no opportunity to build any form of pace we envisage it taking between 4 and 5 hours.
If anyone can dig deep and donate to this incredibly worthy cause then please do so, it will be greatly appreciated as always and I think it’s fair to say it’s the greatest cause I’ve probably run for to date.
Many thanks as always for visiting another one of my fundraising pages and rest assured there will be regular updates and photos available from my ‘Garden London Marathon’ for the NHS.
Much love xXx
