Twenty young people from Belfast and Dundalk are heading out to Brazil to spend 3 weeks 9July-2nd August. Just recently, i got the amazing opportunity to join a SERVE project in Parnaiba in North East Brazil and i jumped at the chance . The project is an opportunity for us to show our brothers and sisters in the developing world that we care about the and to show some sort of solidarity. SERVE and the local partners on the ground(CARITAS & Redemptorists) make a huge difference in helping those who live in extremely sub-standard living conditions to live in decent homes and thus improve their health, wellbeing and opportunities in life.

During our time we will spend the days building houses and engaging with the local community and in the evenings we will learn about learn about international development education and how we can continue to make a difference on our return.

Go off the Beer for a day, donate an hours wages, dont buy a pack of smokes and just take a moment to think about the couple of quid that you can give to make a difference. it means you fingerprints will be in the houses in Parnaiba.
