My trek for Alzheimer’s Society · 18 October 2024 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

We are raising money for Alzheimer’s Society to help support all those who suffer and have suffered with this cruel and unavoidable disease, including family members close to our heart.

We are aiming to complete the National 3 Peaks Challenge which consists of climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. This involves approximately 26 miles of walking, a total ascend of almost 3,000m and 464 miles of driving.

Most people will know of family or friends who’s life has been affected by this disease. The Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, they will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
