Story
On the 7th August 2011 my sister Na died after a life of illness. She faced, and got through, many difficulties with her head held high, often helping others along the way. She found the transition from paediatric to adult care quite difficult, and had she been here now would've had an active role in helping others through this.
Unfortunately she's not, but in her memory and spirit our parents have set up The Leeds Teaching Hospitals Liver Transitional Care Fund to support young people born with liver disease in the transition from paediatric to adult care in Leeds.
Money raised is being used to fund a range of activities and resources to help them share their experiences and problems and better deal with their liver disease at a particularly difficult and stressful time in their lives.
To raise money I'm taking part in the Paris Marathon on the 7th April 2013, and will be undertaking other similar activities in the future to ensure Naomi, and her immense spirit, are not forgotten, and to help others through what she went through.
Every little helps, be it £1 or £100, so please give if you can!!
