On the 1st October this year, I am going to be embarking on my biggest challenge to date as I plan to hang up the bodybuilding trunks and cycle just under 1000 miles as a one-man band from Lands’ End to John O’Groats, in aid of cancer research.

Competing, bodybuilding and lifting has and will always be a
huge passion of mine. Yet over the last 12 months I’ve been searching for something more. I want to be challenged and pushed to my limits, but I also want to invest my time helping others in a way I haven’t before.

Like many of you, I have family, friends and clients have
been impacted by cancer. It’s a horrible thing to experience and something I hope that one day nobody needs to go through. Whilst I’m obviously not able to take this on single handed, I do want join with others and fundraise for life changing cancer research. 

I have enlisted some help on all accounts to help me with my
training, food and recovery over the coming months. Whilst there hasn’t been an end date set to complete the event, anybody that knows me knows I love a challenge and I will be pushing myself to the absolute limit to achieve this in the shortest possible time.

I think the last time I rode a bike for any length of time
was when I had my paper round when I was around 15 years old so if you see an out of breath, wobbling all over the place cyclist roaming the Scottish hills over the next couple of months, be sure to give him a shout!
