Joe's Bob Graham Round · 17 July 2021

We are a peer led charity supporting people in recovery from addiction. We aim to reduce the impact on people, families and communities affected by addiction through peer support, visible recovery and challenging stigma. We offer hope & opportunity for a life free of addiction through peer support.

Story

On Saturday 17th of July I will be attempting to complete the Bob Graham Round in under 24 hours.

The 'BGR' is one of the oldest and most prestigious mountain running challenges - Starting and finishing in Keswick it is a 106 km run, going up 42 of the lake districts highest peaks with a total elevation gain of 8,200m.  To succeed and enter the offical Bob Graham Round 24 hour club you must complete it and return to Keswick in under 24 hours.

I'm starting at 03:00 on saturday morning, and would be happy with a time of 23 hour 59 min

Physically I am woefully underprepared after 3 months off from training due to injury.  Fortunately I have some great people supporting me, my mindset is positive, and the mountain rescue team in the lakes are fantastic!

You should be able to track me on this link -
