Story

My name is Joe, I'm 22 and I enjoy riding my bike. On July 4th 2021, I am going to attempt to complete an Everesting challenge on my bike. This is where the rider covers the vertical elevation of the tallest mountain in the world on one climb, 8849m. In my case, I will be using the Dingleton road climb, as it is in a central location and is well suited to attempting such a challenge.

I'm doing this challenge as I believe it is quite symbolic of the journey I've been on over the last few years with my own health, as well as what Doddie, and everyone else suffering with MND is going through too.

I'm estimating that the ride will take me approximately 12 hours to complete, and picking July 4th was done so meticulously, as it should allow me to hopefully have good weather and lots of daylight to get through it and for people to come out and support if they wish to get involved.

For now, training continues as normal as it can in these bizarre times, but I'd like to thank anyone for donating, and to wish Doddie and his family all the very best. Hopefully see you all on July 4th.
