Story
5 years ago I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Cancer and ever since I got the all clear I have wanted to give back to the charity that provided me with the support I needed to ensure others suffering from this terrible illness are able to access the support I had. This year is no different and Joe and I want to continue to show our support by taking on a challenge.
A cancer diagnosis is never an easy thing to come to terms with at any point in your lifetime but it comes as even more of a shock when you're in your 20s. Anyone who has suffered or has a loved one who has suffered from cancer will know how important having a strong support system is and being able to talk to people who are going through the same battle as you is a huge part of that. Trekstock were able to provide that support and played a huge part in getting me through the most difficult years in my life.
For those who aren't aware, Trekstock are a young adults cancer support charity which helps you connect with others the same age as you, going through the same experience. They do not just offer help, support and a network of people but also experiences such as style evenings, ping pong nights and workshops that are relevant for your age, making you feel like there are others that understand what you are going through.
Every year the Trekstock team and those fundraising for them get together to walk around London to raise money. Unfortunately due to Covid this event is unable to go ahead this year, so they are running the Trek for Trekstock, a virtual event where you can chose where to trek.
Joe and I have decided to take on the tougher challenge and trek 20miles so we would appreciate your support now in helping us raise £200 for this worthwhile charity. Any donations are greatly appreciated and we thank you so much for taking the time to visit the page.
Thank you

About Trekstock:34 young adults are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. Trekstock gets them moving physically and socially, through and beyond cancer. During this time that statistic has not changed. The demand for Trekstock's services has only increased and your donation will ensure young adults are supported during this crisis. Trekstock is determined to be there for their community during this crisis - but they can't do it without your support. The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has changed life for everyone, but young adults living through and beyond cancer are among the hardest hit. Most are at increased risk and have spent months self-isolating, they're anxious about their treatment plans and feeling more alone than ever. That's why Trekstock's services are more vital than ever.
