Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

As very close friends (Joe McLoughlin & Paul Agnew), we have always discussed doing something for charity, and this year we have a couple of things planned, the first being The 4x4x48 challenge (running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours with a total of 48 miles). It’s been recently documented as a tough event, physically but more mentally, that requires teamwork and motivation from fellow participants, hence the decision to do it together. We will start on 5th March at 8pm.

We have decided to participate in memory of Rosie McLoughlin, Joe's younger sister that sadly passed away at 14 years of age. Rosie suffered from Rett Syndrome, a genetic brain disorder. One of Rosie's favourite places was Claire House Children's Hospice, she spent a lot of time here over a number of years and many special memories were created.

Claire House  helps seriously and terminally ill children live life to the full by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life. The wonderful staff provide specialist nursing care and emotional support that helps families smile when life is tough to say the least.

We hope we can raise funds to help more children and their families receive the much needed support of Claire House, a special family who are always there, from the minute you meet them for as long as you need them.
