My name is Joe. I recently decided to make an impact on the world of fitness and you have joined me in one of my steps towards this.

I work as a trainer for a crime reduction charity teaching young people English, maths, Health and safety level ,1 personal and social development as well as sports. I have also worked with the London boroughs youth offending teams (Lambeth, Southwark, Bermondsey, Lewisham) engaging young peeople in weekend fitness programs which allowed me to see first hand the positive influence that exercise can have and its crime reduction capabilities.

All of this has allowed me to truly appreciate not only how much fitness has changed my life but also that of the many young people I have worked with.

Fitness also helps to fight back at all the health issues faced with being overweight and can also assist in heart disease so I have put myself in a position to do my bit and help to get people more active.

In the month of August (2013) I will be going around London and getting members of the public to do some pull ups and hopefully reach a target of 5000. Finalised locations will be available on my twitter twitter.com/joefittweets (@JoeFitTweets) you can also join in the conversation using #JoeFit5000pullups.

Any assistance you can lend would be great or just come out to one of the locations and get involved.

JoeFit, raising the bar...literally!
