The AT Society is the only charity supporting children and young people with Ataxia-Telangiectasia (AT) and funds for research to find a cure. We offer families an essential lifeline of advising and support through the many challenges they face. Life expectancy is currently just 26.

Story

I'm running the Cambridge half marathon on behalf of the AT Society.

Ataxia Telangiectasia (AT) is a very rare inherited disease.  There are only 200 or so people in the UK that have the condition. They are children and young people whose life expectancy is normally limited to their mid-20s. The AT Society does an amazing job for these young people and their families, organising care, respite and support of all sorts.  And funds research to find a cure.

My wife, Denise, has worked for the AT Society for years, and I've seen at first hand what an incredible job this small charity does for these young people and their families.

I've been set a fund-raising target of £1,000. Any donation you're able to make - however small - will have a real and valuable impact.  Thank you so much xxxx
