Story

My father, Philip Ackerman, passed away September 6, 2021 love for people and his community through his involvement in Smithtown Rotary Club is how I became so passionate of helping others, especially those who have Epilepsy, like us.

Join us at the 10th Annual Walk to END EPILEPSYSATURDAY, OCTOBER 16 @ 9 AM - EISENHOWER PARK, PARKING FIELD 1For more than 65 years, the Epilepsy Foundation Long Island has been the premier resource for advocacy, support, information and referral, and outreach for children, adults, and families living with epilepsy as well as offering education and training to the broader community. Each year, we look forward to our Walk to END EPILEPSY, which brings together our many friends and supporters, including board members, staff, people who access our services, sponsors, and donors. We walk to raise epilepsy awareness, to take action, and to raise funds for the education programs and outreach services of the Epilepsy Foundation Long Island.
