Story

There are some things that we are too embarrassed to talk about.  Male genitalia is pretty much at the top of that one.

There are some conditions we just don’t want to think about.  Cancer; ubiquitous, deadly and unseen; pretty much takes the biscuit on that.

Prostate cancer is therefore both embarrassing and something we don’t want to think about but, in 2010 there were 10,721 deaths from prostate cancer in the UK.  Most of those deaths were preventable but occurred because men failed to get help in time some out of ignorance and others out of embarrassment.  Early detection is crucial to survival in all cancers and prostate cancer is no exception.

I don’t believe that anyone should die of embarrassment and that ignorance is a barrier to pull down.

So I am going to be loud this movember, grow my moustache and shout about prostate cancer to help the people and charities, like Chai, that are working hard to stop it.

So please dig deep and donate now.
