Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie are calling on the nation to get down to the pool for Swimathon 2022 - thousands of swimmers, two great causes, one big charity challenge.

Story

This May, I will be taking part in a 15km Swimathon (the furthest I will have ever swum, hopefully!).

I hope to complete this in memory of a close friend, Tom Roberts-Eagles, who we sadly lost to bowel cancer last year. Tom was taken from us too soon; his flame had burned fast and bright.

Bowel cancer is often considered an old person’s disease, but more than 2,500 people under 50 are diagnosed each year in the UK.

The symptoms to look out for are below. It’s so important to get checked if you think you may have any of these symptoms, and avoid what Tom’s family have had to go through.

Any amount you could donate would be greatly and humbly appreciated. 😊 xxx
